What is reality? The reality is that each person thinks about a fact. Or rather, it is what the observer based on his concepts and values, interprets.
Reality is not real, is the interpretation. This interpretation may be called our reality. It may be that other people have the same interpretation of reality, but it may not. This does not mean that a particular thing is right or wrong. It just is. We are searching in our memory the interpretation and then judge a certain thing or event as right or wrong. If we interpret something as good, it will be so. If we interpret something as bad, it will be so. For each one of us the reality is our own interpretation. And when we can control our reality? When we understand that we are the creators of it. The moment we realize we are interpreting a fact, thing or person, we should observe the fact and all the thoughts that emerge, without accepting any interpretation, understanding that the choice of how will be the interpretation is ours. And what is our reality? It is what we think it to be and how we feel it. The reality is made of facts interpreted and judged according to our memory, feelings and thoughts, based on past or pre-established social concepts. What is the collective unconscious? It is the granary of the collective mind which houses social concepts based on the interpretation of the collective reality. These concepts vary from population to population as each population has its own history, collective memory. So, what we think and feel is creating our reality now. Both personal and collective. We need to change our beliefs, break the idols and myths that are deeply ingrained from birth to we can change our present experience and so transform our future. The myths originate this interpretation of reality, giving rise to our personal beliefs and values. We live all the time trying to fit in the models of the majority. We do this by seeking approval and acceptance of the other. But will the other is in evaluating all the time? Why we have this tendency to think that we are so interesting that other people notice us all the time? Why we believe that they are interpreting reality starting from us? Others are much less concerned about us than we realize. Why this constant search for acceptance and approval? To feel comfortable in life. The more we seek the approval of the other (such approval almost never comes, because we were hoping that the other follow a protocol that is ours) less comfortable we are and more at the mercy of their opinions we put us in. Why we do not approve ourselves? Should be us to approve ourselves as only ourselves will use the concepts and values that we consider appropriate for our evaluation. Seeking approval of the other will leave us almost always frustrated and hurt. The other will tell us things according to your own reference and not according to ours. Unless we have values and very similar concepts, almost always the opinion of the other will be different from ours. We need to tear down the myths, idols, the faulty beliefs and validated throughout our life. We need to be less dependent on the opinions of others. We need to understand that our reality is our interpretation. We need it now if we want to be truly free. Deneli Rodriguez. 11.08.2016.
